About the Role:

As a School Health Care Support Worker in Poole, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of our students. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to provide care and support tailored to each student's needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities of School Health Care Support Worker:

Provide one-on-one and small group health care support tailored to students' needs, ensuring they receive the attention and care they need to succeed. Monitor and assess student health, adapting care strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their health goals. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's health and well-being, sharing insights and strategies to support their development. Create a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported, encouraging positive interactions and a sense of community. Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different health needs and preferences, and making care enjoyable and effective. Keep detailed records of each student's health progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents, support staff, and other relevant parties to ensure transparency and collaboration.

Requirements of School Health Care Support Worker:

Relevant qualifications or experience in health care support. Prior experience in supporting students or individuals with health care needs is essential. Excellent communication skills are crucial for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships. Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community, creating a positive and collaborative environment. Show a deep commitment to helping students with health care needs, exhibiting patience and empathy in interactions.

To work with GSL Education as a School Health Care Support Worker, you will need: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
