Implement and oversee the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy. Collaborate with teachers to identify and assess students with special educational needs. Develop individual education plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support. Provide guidance and support to teachers on effective teaching strategies for students with SEN. Liaise with external agencies and parents to ensure holistic support for students. Monitor and review the progress of students with SEN. Organise training for staff on SEN-related matters. Experience
Previous experience in SEN or a related field such as speech therapy, physical education, or early childhood education. Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques. Experience working with children with special educational needs. Knowledge of proofreading and applied behaviour analysis is desirable. Background in childcare, tutoring, or similar roles would be beneficial. This is a part-time role to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week until the end of the academic year in the first instance.
