Welcome Incentive Bonus - £5000 if you apply from 21st January to 28th February 2025 £2500 after a successful 6 months probation period and the following £2500 after a 12 month successful annual appraisal. The schools manager will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the sites are operating in line with systems and policies. They will support and enhance learning for all pupils, ensuring they access their appropriately planned educational programmes. The role will require travel across our 3 school sites and our RTL building in Bishops Stortford. Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure logistics are set effectively, efficiently, and in advance. Support the staff to ensure that all sites are running effectively and efficiently each day. Ensure robust health and safety checks are undertaken, with issues reported following school policy. Drive high standards with staff in ensuring the building is clean and conducive to learning. Promote positive behaviour for learning, driving our culture of ‘catching the pupils being good’. Ensure Deputies are updating behaviour waves dynamically. Ensure Deputies are driving the use of class dojo to support pupils’ behaviour. Ensure expectations of pupils are high. Ensure the buildings meet the Independent School Standards. Support staff with challenging behaviour, providing debriefs, and ensuring all incidents are logged accordingly. Ensure R & R’s take place after an incident. Liaise with the Executive Head teacher regarding incidents & concerns. Ensure Deputies meet key paperwork deadlines. Chair weekly Deputy head meetings. Take an active role as a Leader and promote the Schools Appraisal and supervision schedules. Support the creation and implementation of the SEF and School Improvement Plan (SIP), and take sole responsibility for appropriately delegated aspects of it. Ensure each site is making good progress towards the areas of the SIP. Ensure impact risk assessments are adapted and updated dynamically when looking at mixing pupils, completed by Deputies. Experience/Qualifications: QTS Experience of working with pupils who have SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and adverse childhood experiences. Leadership/Assistant Head teacher experience. Skills & Abilities: Ability to work under pressure. Resilient. Dedicated. Prepared for changes/flexible mindset. Effective communicator. Highly organised.
