GSL Education London are looking for a dedicated Science Technician to join a vibrant team at a client secondary school in Lewisham. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a laboratory setting and is committed to enhancing the educational experience of students. Responsibilities of a Science Technician:
Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons. Support the teaching and learning of science by assisting in practical experiments. Maintain and organise the science laboratory, ensuring a safe and clean environment. Assist teachers with the development and implementation of science lesson plans. Provide technical support during science lessons and demonstrations. Monitor and report on the condition of laboratory equipment and materials. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory. Requirements of a Science Technician:
Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a similar role. Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols. Ability to support science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5. Excellent organisational and communication skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
