Dependent on Experience Are you passionate about science and eager to support students in a vibrant and dynamic secondary school setting? Our mainstream secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team immediately. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and set up science equipment and materials for practical lessons. Support teachers during science practicals and experiments. Maintain and organise science lab resources, ensuring they are safely stored and well-maintained. Assist with the management of health and safety procedures in the science department. Support students during practical work, providing guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Order and maintain stock of materials and equipment, ensuring the labs are well-equipped. Assist with the general administration of the science department as needed. Requirements: Previous experience in a technician-based role is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in science and a desire to work in an educational environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A DBS check on the update service is required for this position.
