We have learners who need you to make a difference in their lives now who are situated throughout Didcot. These learners will require dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success - if you're an engaging teacher or tutor, experienced in supporting KS3/KS4 Science and who would relish the opportunity to work with students in their own homes or schools delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we'd love to work with you. You'll provide in-person, daytime tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. These opportunities to tutor are tailored with your availability in mind and can vary between 5-25+ hours per week depending on learner requirements. Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learner, ultimately re-engaging them with education and providing a positive learning outcome. Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements - distinct experience of working with children who present the following will be advantageous: Special educational needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia or Dyspraxia Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs Childhood trauma Your responsibilities will include: Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire and teach. Monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement. Collaborate with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform. What we offer: Competitive weekly remuneration through PAYE. Minimum Requirements: Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification. Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience. Must live and be eligible to work in the UK. Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service. A commitment to safeguarding. Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs.
