SCITT Lead

(Primary 3-7)! As SCITT Lead, you will: Work with the Primary Course Leader to design and deliver the 3-7 curriculum and phase-specific training sessions. Track and monitor the development of Associate Teachers through subject knowledge auditing. Ensure timetables and placements for Associate Teachers are tailored to achieve key learning outcomes. Visit Associate Teachers during teaching experiences to observe lessons, assess progress, and quality assure placement provision. Conduct professional reviews and recommend whether Teachers’ Standards have been met. Actively promote and market the SCITT programme, attending recruitment events and supporting the interview process. Collaborate with course leaders to assess PGCE assignments and implement intervention strategies for at-risk candidates. What we’re looking for: Qualified Teacher Status. Significant experience in primary education for ages 3-7. Strong understanding of the ITT core content framework and its evidence base.
