We are looking for an experienced medical contractor to support our Scotland Women as team doctor. This role will work with our Scotland Women National Team players who are based both centrally and outside of Scotland. About the role: The aim of this role is to support the provision of high-quality medical care to the Scotland Women National Team. You are required to have experience of working in performance team sport. This may be rugby, or within player/athlete development in a comparable sport. However, you should have the ability to reflect critically, demonstrate flexibility with working patterns and logistical changes at short notice, continuously learn and develop practical and reasoning skills. You are required to have experience in managing illness strategies as well as deliver education workshops to player around concussion and other medical subjects. As this role requires pitch-side cover, you will be required to pass and maintain a World Rugby Level 3 First Aid course qualification equivalent to SCRUMCAPS if you don’t already hold such, this will be supported by the SRU if successful at interview. These roles require working flexible hours, including unsociable morning and/or evening work, weekend work, domestic & international travel and occasional lone working.
