About The Team: As part of SRUC, SAC Consulting is one of the leading agricultural consultancies in Scotland. Our Agricultural Advisory business believes in supporting you locally, which is why we have 85 consultants and a further 35 technicians and administrators in 23 offices across Scotland, and more in Northern England, providing local knowledge and farming expertise to over 9,000 farmers and crofters. The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of our friendly and successful team in Portree. This role will provide support to farming businesses, and includes a blend of practical and technical consultant support activities with traditional administrative responsibilities. Key elements of this role include: Working with our farmer customers on a daily basis Front-of-house administrative duties Internal reporting and business support Supporting consultants in delivery of national programmes and initiatives, including the Scottish Farm Advisory Service and Whole Farm Plan Sampling and data collection, both in office and on farm The post-holder will perform additional duties as directed from time to time by the Line Manager. The post holder must always be able to multi-task and use their initiative in the conduct of their work. They must be able to apply sound judgement to ensure that they conduct themselves within the framework of SRUC regulations and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF level 6 including a high degree of numeracy. For full person specification, download the job particular document.
