Our client is expanding their Sea Freight/Transport team and is looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to join their Stanford-le-Hope office.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and take on a pivotal role within the sea freight/transport environment. We’re seeking a professional with at least five years of Customs Clearance experience who can confidently handle key responsibilities, including:
Key Responsibilities:
Communicating effectively with UK and overseas agents via phone and email.
Arranging FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) cargo from origin ports to the UK.
Providing accurate freight quotes and general charge estimates.
Inputting data into the in-house system with precision.
Advising customs on shipment updates and handling releases and deliveries.
Preparing and issuing invoices.
Ensuring bills of lading are correctly endorsed.
Managing the full scope of ocean import processes, including customs clearance, releases, deliveries, and billing.
What We’re Looking For:
Comprehensive understanding of the Brexit transition and its impact on customs procedures.
Proficiency with systems such as Destin8 , CNS , and Sequoia .
A detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational and communication skills.
