Searcys are looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at 30 Euston Square.
Working as a Sous Chef for Searcys will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will support the Exec/Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the venue and act as a mentor to the junior kitchen brigade. You will work collaboratively with both the kitchen and front-of-house team to deliver bespoke events and restaurant service whilst creating food that honours the seasons and celebrates local produce.
30 Euston Square is a Grade II* listed award-winning events venue in a perfect central London location. From meeting and conference spaces to private dining and rooftop terraces, the venue offers an iconic setting for any occasion.
This venue is unique to Searcys as it is the only property within the estate that is home to a selection of boutique bedrooms.

The Sous Chef role is mainly Monday to Friday with occasional weekends/evenings and is a great opportunity for someone to join the department.
As a Sous Chef at 30 Euston Square, you will be required to be adaptable as the venue is diverse and at any time will have multiple events happening across a number of floors. You will support the Executive and Head Chef to manage the day-to-day service, whilst leading and mentoring the junior team to deliver high-end events and exceptional quality food.

Full Time 45 hours contract Responsibilities: Provide food/service to a consistent high standard, including assisting senior chefs with functions in different areas throughout the business. Manage the kitchen brigade in the absence of the Executive/Head chef Assist in training junior staff Liaise with key team members to plan for the provision of food in all areas Place orders directly with suppliers. Ensure smooth running of daily operations, including no disruption to the pre-agreed menu offer. Manage stock levels of that specific area, including ordering when required and waste control. Ensure food presentation is consistent with standards set by senior chefs. Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food. Exemplary kitchen management practices and being an ambassador for Searcys legacy brand. Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus. Support Exec/Head Chef in creating a professional working environment for the team, ensuring company standards are maintained and Client expectations are met. Previous experience as a Sous Chef in Events, Hotel, or high-end restaurants. Excellent mentoring and communication skills.
