Position Overview A reputable renewable energy company is seeking a Secondary Design Engineer to contribute to high-voltage projects (up to 132kV). You will be part of a team delivering full secondary design packages, whilst also supporting conceptual design across various energy projects, including solar farms and battery storage facilities. All work must meet rigorous safety, quality, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop conceptual and detailed secondary designs for up to 132kV networks. Produce and maintain AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, core sheets, and other design deliverables. Prepare comprehensive bills of materials and respond to queries from panel manufacturers. Provide on-site design support, including red/green markup drawings and as-built documentation. Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international guidelines, standards, and policies. Requirements
At least 5 years' experience in secondary design (up to 132kV). Proficiency in AutoCAD and an excellent grasp of relevant engineering standards and DNO requirements. Solid understanding of construction methods and design principles. Flexible approach to working hours and a full driving licence.
