Full-time We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Geography to lead our department. This role is perfect for someone dedicated to fostering a love for Geography and has a proven track record of excellence in teaching and leadership. Day-to-day of the role:
Provide leadership for the development and management of the Geography department. Identify areas for development and improvement linked to the Academy improvement plan, SEF, national, and local initiatives. Develop and monitor schemes of work for Geography across the academy, ensuring successful implementation that meets curriculum requirements and is differentiated to reflect student needs. Oversee and contribute to the planning and delivery of continuous professional development and training related to Geography. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success in Geography. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning in Geography. Successful mentoring and coaching of colleagues. Strong ability to plan, prepare, and deliver a curriculum relevant to the age and ability of the groups. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Benefits:
