We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated **History Teacher** to join a secondary school in Leeds. This full-time role begins in January 2025 and offers an exciting chance to shape the historical understanding of students from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The School has exceptionally high standards for all of its students, regardless of their background or ability, since they want everyone to be the best version of themselves. They have the greatest expectations for attitude and behaviour. The Ofsted gave the school Good ratings.

**_Location:_**_Leeds_ _ _**_Contract:_**_Full time_ _ _**Pay Rate:** £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)

**Requirements** :

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE. * A degree in History or a closely related subject. * An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply). * Eligibility to work in the UK.

### **Skills:**

1. Strong subject knowledge with a passion for History. 2. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. 4. Strong organisational and time management skills. 5. Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning. 6. Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.

### **Responsibilities:**

1. Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4. 2. Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to cater to varying learning needs and abilities. 3. Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement. 4. Monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to students and parents. 5. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high academic standards. 6. Contribute to the development of the History department by sharing resources and ideas. 7. Support school-wide initiatives, including extracurricular activities and pastoral responsibilities. 8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of teaching practices and historical developments. 9. Uphold and promote the schools values, safeguarding policies, and commitment to student welfare.
