Principal Education is seeking passionate and enthusiastic educators to work as a teaching assistant for a lovely school based in Lewisham. The correct candidate will have native proficiency or be able to speak Spanish to a sound level.
Responsibilities: As a teaching assistant, you will typically be required to work with small groups of pupils with SEN or behavioral requirements, or possibly on a 1:1 basis, offering targeted support to create an inclusive learning environment.
To be eligible for this role, you MUST: Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom. Possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills. Demonstrate the ability to create a learning environment which effectively caters for pupils with special education needs (SEN) and behavioral challenges. Be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet. Demonstrate calmness & composure under pressure, to maintain an optimal learning environment. Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS or be willing to obtain one from Principal Education. Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom. Be based in a London borough, or within commutable distance. Demonstrable experience of speaking Spanish. Pay:
Pay rates for work as an unqualified cover teacher or teaching assistant in our secondary schools typically range from
£100 - £130 per day
for flexible daily work. However, if you secure an ongoing role in one school, we will aim to pay you a daily rate that aligns with the salaries offered by the respective school.
