We are looking to recruit a well-organised secretary to assist in the provision of a comprehensive and efficient secretarial/administrative support service to the Clinical Therapies. This entails supporting the varying senior managers and clinicians within the Clinical Therapies Team. Applicants should be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work with the ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise work and deal with complex/sensitive issues. An understanding of information governance/confidentiality procedures and knowledge of records management processes are also important aspects of the post. Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and team working skills and have experience of supporting and encouraging others whilst working in a demanding office environment. The successful applicant will be required to have proven recent experience in a secretarial/administrative role, have the ability to take concise minutes and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Main Duties of the Job

The Clinical Therapies Corporate Secretarial Team provides a professional and comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the Clinical Therapies Team - Clinical Specialities Division. This will include supporting the Senior Management Team to ensure delivery of the core business functions within the Clinical Therapies Team. About Us

Qualifications/Training

Good standard of general education GCSE English Language - minimum grade C or equivalent Office Management or similar qualification Personal Attributes & Skills

Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal Able to deal sensitively and professionally with all queries Maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of the Data Protection Act (1998) Able to work within a team environment Flexible approach to enable changing demands to be accommodated effectively Accurate and careful working to ensure high standard of work produced Knowledge and Experience

Proven recent experience in a secretarial/administrative role Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software - Word and Excel in particular Working knowledge of office procedures Proven experience in an administrative role within a healthcare environment Working knowledge of a mainframe IT system Experience of recruitment procedures Service improvement training An understanding of information governance/confidentiality procedures and knowledge of records management processes Have the ability to take concise minutes Disclosure and Barring Service Check
