Section Engineer , you will support the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for this exciting new highways project. What you'll be doing

As a

Section Engineer , you will: Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments and undertake periodic reviews. Prepare and raise Temporary Works Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation. Carry out complex setting out when required. Produce Activity Control Plans / Inspection and Test Plans and obtain approval. Actively use the Specification for reference and coach junior team members in using the Spec. Ensure that Site Engineers complete the required quality check sheets on a timely basis for the works. Produce a weekly programme and measure progress against KPI’s. Communicate weekly programme and targets to the workforce. Liaise with subcontractors to ensure works are undertaken in line with the weekly programme. Maintain an accurate diary, including dialogue with external subcontractors. Who we're looking for

You will have the following: BSc/HND in Civil Engineering. Experience of working on a NEC Civil Engineering project. Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately. Suggest improvements to systems. Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified. Must be a strong team player, with developed communication skills. Why work for us
