Our Cyber Security Operation function is now on the lookout for a dedicated Security Analyst to join our 24/7 shift team to detect and respond to security alerts. As a Security Analyst, you will be part of the 24/7 shift team ensuring continuous monitoring and remediation capability. You will work closely with Senior Security Analysts to suggest tuning to detections and runbooks, driving continuous improvement. As the SOC is part of the CSIRT function, this role will work closely with SOC engineers, Cyber Threat Hunters, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Security Incident Management to proactively mitigate threats by enhancing tooling and respond to and remediate incidents. You will be responsible for the proactive monitoring of Computacenter, investigating and triaging cyber events while working alongside other technical teams that belong to the Cyber Security Group. In this role, you will perform in-depth analysis for all Cyber Security Incidents originating from security tooling and raised by employees, to assess the threat to Computacenter, as well as recommending effective remediation actions. As a team, we operate on a 24x7 shift basis, working 12-hour shifts days and nights, using the latest cutting-edge tools and technologies available to a leading SOC function. What you’ll do Operation of multiple toolsets delivering Security Information and Event Management Triage, investigation, analysis, and response to cyber events present on security monitoring tooling Follow playbook/runbook tasks to ensure investigation and remediation tasks are completed and communicated to relevant teams Support Computacenter Senior Analysts in tuning of use cases and runbooks Support Computacenter incident management function in cyber investigation Complete daily reviews of all security monitoring & analytics applications as per runbook requirements What you’ll need Cyber Security experience with an understanding of IT technologies Analytical approach to problem-solving Good knowledge of important IT platforms, methods, and applications; comprehensive understanding of information assurance from a people, process, and technology perspective Willingness to self-develop knowledge according to market and CC requirements Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel including macros and formulas Ability to review technical or procedural documents or process outputs to assure defined requirements have been fulfilled Ability to interpret technical information and relay this in an understandable manner Good knowledge of all aspects of Information Assurance and Cyber Security Experienced in security incident management investigations Ability to identify and drive security service improvement Ability to attain relevant security clearance Ability to talk to end users to gather context behind security incidents and provide guidance from CC policies About us With over 20,000 employees across the globe, we work at the heart of digitisation, advising organisations on IT strategy, implementing the most appropriate technology, and helping our customers to source, transform, and manage their technology infrastructure in over 70 countries.
