Security Analyst, York

Security Analyst - York (Hybrid) - £45-55K We are currently seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join a brand new internal team. You will be responsible for monitoring security-related activity, conducting in-depth investigations, identifying risks, and resolving/escalating issues as needed. Responsibilities: Monitoring security access. Conducting security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis. Analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause. Verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security requirements. Taking an active role in the management of security systems including Vulnerability Management, DLP, IDS/IPS, AV, SIEM, Firewalls, and other network security systems, Endpoint Protection, and Device Control systems. Measuring the effectiveness of security controls through metrics and KPIs. Maintaining technical security documentation in line with continuous improvement for best practices. Required: Proven IT Security, SOC, or Blue Team experience. Computer Science/Cyber Security or relevant degree. Excellent understanding of technical security controls, processes, and cloud services. Working knowledge of Vulnerability Management solutions such as Qualys, Nessus, etc. Understanding of digital security and the general principles associated with Security Analyst roles. Knowledge of industry standards: ISO 27001, NIST 800-53/CSF, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials, Mitre ATT&CK.
