10 Month Contract Accommodation provided Role The Data Cabling Engineer will play a crucial role in the installation, termination, and fault finding of data cabling onsite. This position involves working in a team of structured Data Cabling Engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and maintaining excellent customer service standards. The Data Cabling Engineer will collaborate closely with Supervisors and Project Managers on day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Perform cable pulling, laying, and associated testing for both copper and fibre optic cabling, including fault finding and proactive resolution. Install, test, and terminate Cat6 copper and fibre optic cabling. Work alongside Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure adherence to project deadlines. Read and interpret drawings to translate into practical work. Report progress, site delays, and issues to Supervisors & Project Managers. Ensure all works are carried out according to job sheet specifications and company expectations. Adapt to additional duties as required, within the individual's capabilities and consistent with the role's responsibilities. Requirement Newly qualified or engineers with proven experience in data cabling installation and termination, particularly with Cat6 and fibre optic cables. Valid ECS or CSCS card Valid SC Clearance Strong fault-finding skills and proactive problem-solving abilities. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Highly motivated with a strong work ethic. Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and manage a team. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain positive client relationships. Adaptable and flexible to changing project requirements and duties.
