About the role:
Reporting to the Group Human Resources Director, this is a critical leadership role for JCB, and has complete ownership of the JCB Group security strategy and its alignment with the objectives and results of JCB.
The leadership team of JCB will look to you to deliver security solutions and infrastructure that will support the business’ key commitment to achieving operational excellence.
What does this role involve day to day?
As JCB's Security Director, you will define and deliver the mission and vision of the Security organisation to enable the desired culture, provide strategic direction for all enterprise-wide security operations, and maintain the safety and security of JCB assets as well as the welfare of employees within the company’s premises.
Gather security intelligence in order to protect the business and implement preventative measures.
Ensure all security staff are appropriately qualified, trained and equipped.
Manage and report to senior leadership any security incidents or threats.
Manage and periodically report on security checks, surveillance, and monitoring.
Assist in the coordination of responses to emergencies and crises.
Seek out new and evolving security technologies and advancements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and security industry regulations.
This will be suited to you
You already have proven experience leading a multi-disciplined security function across multiple geographies (ideally UK & India), as well as:
Significant proven leadership experience either in the Security Industry, Police or Armed Forces.
Experience in managing large budgets and project spends.
Insight into how security technology and digital transformation is impacting the manufacturing industry including the relationship with customers.
Interpersonal skills, cross-cultural listening skills, and proven public speaking ability.
Proven ability to recruit, retain and develop top talent.
Respective security qualifications.
