Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as the subject matter expert on and point of contact for on-premises and cloud network security for the EMEA region. Plan and implement network security measures in the EMEA region by designing and deploying firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security devices to safeguard Allegion’s network infrastructure. Provide input to and enforcement of network security policies, ensuring that all employees in the EMEA region are aware of and adhere to them. Analyze and make recommendations for improvements to the security of networks that support the EMEA regional businesses. Collaborate with internal business and technical users to interpret, clarify, and implement change requests on security-related solutions in the region. Troubleshoot network security-related issues and support incident response. Maintain strong working knowledge of network communication technologies and security protocols. Keep up with the latest security threats, attack vectors, and associated security controls to ensure the security ecosystem is well-architected to address key risks. Skills profile: Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies. Working knowledge of networking and communications relative to public, private, and hybrid cloud installations. Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business language. Learning agility, including a demonstrated ability to pick up and master new business and technical subjects quickly. Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems. Ability to quickly build rapport and gain the respect and cooperation of both technology and business leaders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, plan workloads, and deliver on commitments. Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience managing competing priorities successfully. Customer focused. Position qualification: Three to four years of experience in IT networking on a global enterprise scale including proven work experience as a network engineer, network security engineer, or information security engineer. Experience in creating and maintaining security systems with thorough understanding of the latest security principles, technologies, and protocols. Experience with network monitoring and incident response. Industry certifications related to information security, networking, or other relevant discipline. German speaking is nice to have.
