Position: Cyber security Engineer (Hands on Technical Lead) Must come from Financial Services Location: Bristol Our client is undergoing an exciting transformation, with technology playing a critical role in enhancing services and operations. The organisation is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead with deep expertise in cybersecurity solutions, technical design, and problem-solving. This role involves refining and delivering robust, scalable, and secure systems to meet evolving business and customer needs. Role Responsibilities: Collaborating with architects and feature team tech leads to design, refine, and implement end-to-end technical solutions Resolving technical blockers and ensuring adherence to governance and best practices Maintaining the stability and efficiency of Security infrastructure technologies to meet customer needs Manage the technical requirements and delivery of third-party cybersecurity solutions. Task management leadership to deliver successful results What are we looking for? Experience working within a bank/financial services industry Extensive experience in the design, delivery, and operation of IT systems. Proven ability to solve complex technical issues at both strategic and hands-on levels. Strong familiarity with all levels of the technology stack, including infrastructure, applications, and networks. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and command-line tools such as PowerShell.
