Your role

Our Officers find out why passengers are coming to the UK, decide if they are eligible to do so and stop those who are not. Arresting offenders, preserving evidence, managing detention and liaising with other law enforcement partners

If involved in International Trade, you will be responsible for the movement and clearance of imported and exported goods and taking action if any irregularities are identified

What you can bring

Are you ethical, professional, able to remain calm and act with integrity?

Do you enjoy working with people and embrace the opportunity to be a role model? You’ll need to communicate clearly with empathy and provide creative solutions when needed

Are you curious and like seeking out the truth? You’ll be investigating evidence, considering decisions carefully and ensuring the right choice is made

Training and Development

We’ll support you with full training including:

Initial 5 to 8 weeks of full-time ‘classroom’ training including Public and Personal Safety Training

‘On the job’ training with a mentor supporting you until you are fully confident. Even then you are never alone: your team are always around for advice and support
