We are looking for a Seed Certification Officer with their Seed Analyst qualification to join the Frontier team, based at Sandy, on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will be responsible for seed certification and seed analysis for Frontier Agriculture and assist in a busy Grain Laboratory when required, whilst upholding Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

About You
Knowledge of UK Seed Certification processes - training may be given to the right candidate
Holding a Seed Analysis qualification in Cereals is essential
Laboratory management Analyst in Charge qualification is desirable but applicants should be willing to take the management qualification if needed
Holding a Crop Inspectors Licence is desirable - training may be given to the right candidate
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
A flexible approach to working hours during peak season
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
Able to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers .
Your Role
As a Seed Certification Officer your role will involve:
Carrying out all aspects of Seed Certification to enable production at Sandy
Keying seed orders, as and when required
Understanding all areas of Seed Production Intake to Outload
Analysing seed, commercial grain and pulses for both Frontier and independent third-party customers
Ensuring procedures are followed for commercial grain testing
Recording all samples on to the computer system and inputting data
Carrying out research for external companies
Checking equipment is working accurately and calibrate in a timely manner
Ensuring all records are accurate and any anomalies are highlighted to the Laboratory Manager
Covering the Laboratory Manager in their absence
Crop Inspection and seed sampling when required
