About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated

SEMH Teaching Assistant

to support students with SEN and challenging behaviours in both

1:1

and group settings. This role involves helping students with

SEMH needs

achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering self-regulation and positive behaviour. This is a

long-term, full-time role , ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting vulnerable students. While being a graduate is desirable, your

skills, commitment, and ability to engage with students

matter most.

Key Responsibilities:

As an

SEMH Teaching Assistant , you will: Provide tailored support to students with

SEN

and

SEMH

needs, particularly those displaying challenging behaviour. Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised strategies for student development. Support students in staying engaged in lessons through 1:1 and group interventions. Help students develop coping mechanisms, emotional resilience, and positive behaviour strategies. Communicate effectively with staff and parents to share updates on student progress. Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students, particularly those with SEN and SEMH challenges.

Experience supporting students with

SEN ,
