8:15am – 3:30pm (Term time only) Active Recruitment is working with an outstanding Mainstream Primary School in Islington, London, who are currently looking for Child SEN Care Assistants to provide targeted support to students aged 3-7 with mild to moderate learning needs. They are seeking energetic Child SEN Care Assistants to join their dedicated team. You will need to be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and committed to providing them with the best educational support possible. The successful Child SEN Care Assistant must: Have recent experience within a similar role. Be passionate about working with SEN pupils. Be able to modify approach depending on pupils' individual needs. Be able to inspire and motivate those that need additional support. Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. Key responsibilities for your role: Working with specific individuals aged 3-7 that require extra help and targeted support, depending on their needs. Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and in small groups. Working alongside other professionals to assess children, including writing EHCPs. Collaborating with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil’s needs.
