Enhanced DBS Knowledge of the Children's Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 0-25, with an understanding of how these regulations apply to the development and administration of EHC plans. Knowledge of special educational needs within the context of both local authority requirements and educational settings. Understanding of educational opportunities and progression paths within the further education sector, specifically tailored for young people with SEN. Ability to communicate effectively with families and professionals, adapting your approach to meet diverse needs. Commitment to supporting positive life outcomes for children and young people with complex needs. We are looking for an experienced Statutory SEN Caseworker to join our team. This role involves extensive liaison with families, education settings, and a range of health and social care professionals to coordinate and manage EHC plans for children and young people with complex needs. The position combines home-based work with regular meetings in-office, schools, and via remote platforms. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and coordinate EHC needs assessments and manage EHC plans in line with statutory requirements. Liaise and build positive relationships with families, educational institutions, and professionals across education, social care, and health sectors. Support families in understanding and accessing services to best meet their child's needs. Ensure EHC plans are regularly reviewed and updated, adapting them to meet the changing needs of each young person. The Statutory SEN Service, part of the Inclusion and SEND Service, provides critical support to families. Our dedicated team coordinates the statutory processes for children and young people with complex special educational needs, including Education, Health, and Care (EHC) needs assessments and EHC plan reviews. We support over 4,000 young people from 0 to 25 years, working closely with families and multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure positive outcomes for each individual. Benefits and Flexibility:
