Job Title: SEN Classroom Support About Us: We are a welcoming and inclusive school nestled in the picturesque town of Bradford-on-Avon. Committed to providing high-quality education for all our students, we are now seeking a dedicated SEN Classroom Support to join our passionate team. Position Overview: As a SEN Classroom Support, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs within our school. Working closely with teachers and SENCO, you will provide essential assistance to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to SEN students, assisting them with their learning activities and helping them to achieve their educational goals. Work collaboratively with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported. Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies and support students in developing social skills and emotional resilience. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO, contributing to the ongoing assessment and review process. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration. Requirements: Previous experience working with SEN students is advantageous but not essential; however, a genuine passion for supporting the educational needs of all students is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may face various challenges. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow instructions effectively.
