SEN Classroom Support Protocol Education are recruiting teaching assistants to work full time in SEN schools throughout Swindon. The schools are looking for teaching assistants to develop academic studies, communication skills and cognitive stimulation through various methods. As part of the role, you will be working 1:1 or lead small groups of learners with special needs such as autism and physical disabilities. As a specialist provision, the schools require someone who is experienced or open about working in special needs. We offer accredited CPD that includes learning strategies, behaviour techniques and medical procedures. Main Duties: Supporting students 1:1 with numeracy & literacy and other core subjects/education principles Developing social & communication skills through sensory integration Assessing pupils’ levels and ability Comfortable or open to supporting learners with personal care The school is looking for individuals who are: Keen to learn and develop their skills in education. Adaptable, and able to work in a variety of settings. Interested in working in different environments. Committed and resilient.
