We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team, starting in January 2025. This role offers both full-time and part-time options, allowing for flexibility. As an English Teacher in this SEN school, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and accessible English lessons to students with Autism and SEMH, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and SEMH. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development. Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, ensuring individual education plans (IEPs) are met. Collaborate with the wider school team, including SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and parents, to support student progress. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and manage classroom behavior effectively. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching English, preferably within an SEN or alternative provision setting. A strong understanding of Autism and SEMH and how these impact learning and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
