Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required. Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment to promote academic and personal growth. Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students. Stay up to date with educational developments and adapt teaching methods to meet changing needs. Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a degree with experience in education. Specialist knowledge in teaching English to students with SEN such as SEMH and Complex needs. Prior teaching experience, preferably working with students with SEN. If you have not taught in an SEN before but have supported SEN learners, we would still like to hear from you. Skills:
Good understanding of SEN practices and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Effective classroom management skills. This role involves working in a school setting, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.
