Are you dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and compassionate SEN Learner Assistant to join our team at an independent SEND school located in Sutton, London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with SEN, contributing to their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff to implement personalised education plans (IEPs) and employ effective support strategies tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment, prioritising the social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Assist in classroom activities, ensuring an enriching and supportive atmosphere for all learners.
  • Maintain transparent communication with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a sincere interest in addressing the distinctive needs of learners.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are preferable due to the school's location in Sutton.

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive daily rate ranging from £90 to £100, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Alongside a fulfilling and rewarding role, you will have the chance to contribute significantly to the growth and development of students with special educational needs.
