About the Role:SET Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant school in Pontypool. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with SEN experience looking to make a real difference in the lives of students. The position begins in September and runs for an initial 12-week period, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance and the school's needs.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one and group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support classroom activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
Requirements: - Must have previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable.

Following the 12-week working period at the school, a decision will be made by the school on whether to offer a trial period.
