to provide 1:1 support for a
Year 2 student with ASD (Autism) . About the Role:
Position:
SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Tower Hamlets
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a
Year 2 child with autism , helping them navigate the school day.
Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and managing routines, using strategies to support their communication, social skills, and emotional development.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement the child’s individual education plan (IEP).
Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that fosters the child’s independence and confidence.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with
Autism/ASD
or other special educational needs.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the child, staff, and parents.
A valid and up-to-date
DBS check
(or willingness to undergo one).
