SEN Teaching Assistant About the Role:

TeachNow is looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Barking & Dagenham. This part-time role focuses on providing tailored support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them thrive in both academic and social settings. Starting ASAP, you'll work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

Application Requirements:

Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with ASD. Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (preferred). Patience, empathy, and adaptability. Excellent communication skills. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for students with ASD. Implement individual learning plans in collaboration with teachers. Use sensory strategies to support learning. Monitor and report student progress. Encourage social and emotional development.
