About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a non-verbal Autistic boy in Year 3. This role requires someone who can follow the school's guidance precisely, ensuring consistency and structure for the child. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in January 2025.

Application Requirements:

We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who:

Has experience working with children with Autism, particularly in a primary school setting. Is dedicated, patient, and adaptable to the needs of the child. Is hands-on, proactive, and ready to follow the school's established strategies and protocols. Demonstrates a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive.

Key Responsibilities: SEN TA:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to meet the child's educational, social, and emotional needs. Using creative and practical methods to engage the child in learning activities. Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions. Supporting the development of communication strategies and encouraging positive interactions.
