About the role: Do you have the compassion, patience, and experience to make a real difference in their daily lives? We're looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Barking & Dagenham. This is a rewarding full-time, long-term role where you'll work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Down's Syndrome. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping students develop both academically and personally. Working alongside teachers and the SENCO, you'll create an environment where each student feels valued and supported. Your experience with SEN, particularly with ASD, ADHD, and Down's Syndrome, will be essential in adapting lessons, implementing strategies, and providing personalised care.

About the school: Located in the heart of Barking & Dagenham, our school is a welcoming and inclusive environment that values every child's unique potential. With a strong commitment to supporting pupils with diverse needs, the school provides a nurturing space with outstanding facilities and an experienced SEN team. You'll be part of a vibrant community where continuous support and professional growth are prioritized. The school's dedicated SEN department is well-resourced, ensuring you have the tools to succeed in your role.

Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient approach. A solid understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures within a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support to students with ASD, ADHD, and Down's Syndrome, helping them access the curriculum effectively. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting materials and resources to meet each child's unique needs. Encourage positive social interactions and development of self-regulation skills. Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track progress and adjust strategies for optimal outcomes. Support students during group activities, ensuring their full engagement and participation.

Perks and Benefits: Competitive daily pay of £85-£100. Ongoing training and CPD opportunities to expand your SEN expertise. Supportive, team-oriented work environment. Opportunity to make a significant, positive impact in students' lives. Convenient location in Barking & Dagenham, with excellent transport links.
