About the role:

SEN TA:

Join as a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children in Year 1 with special educational needs. This dynamic role involves working 1:1, in small groups, and assisting in the classroom. Many children are non-verbal and require visual cues and sensory-based learning strategies. Empathy, flexibility, and experience in SEN are essential.

Application Requirements:

Experience with SEN children, especially non-verbal learners. Understanding of visual cues and sensory learning strategies. Empathy, patience, and adaptability in a school environment. Relevant qualifications in education or SEN (desirable). Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to children with SEN. Assist in creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. Design and implement sensory-based activities. Monitor and report on student progress. Collaborate with teachers and parents to support learning goals.
