SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Croydon Salary: £85 - £100 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediately Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time Do you have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs in an inclusive and dynamic learning environment? GSL Education Kent are seeking dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools in Croydon, with positions available immediately. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to students facing various challenges, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) issues, autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, and other SEND requirements. Collaborating closely with teachers and SENCOs, you will help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students can develop confidence, independence, and academic skills. SEN TA Responsibilities: Assisting teachers with delivering tailored lessons. Supporting both one-on-one and small group activities. Modifying lesson plans as needed to fit each student’s unique needs. Encouraging students' personal development. Managing classroom behaviour. Ensuring a smooth continuation of learning in the teacher's absence. Qualifications & Skills: A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is desirable. Experience working with children in an SEN environment or as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a caring and patient attitude. The ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the unique needs of students.
