Location: Stottesdon, Kidderminster Position: Full-time, 5 days per week Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Aspire are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working with children who requires both educational support and personal care assistance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in SEN, looking for a rewarding role in an inclusive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: * Support with Learning: Assist the child in accessing the curriculum, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs. * Personal Care Assistance: Provide personal care support, including but not limited to toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility. * Classroom Support: Support the child within the classroom setting, ensuring they are included in all activities and working alongside the class teacher to meet their needs. * Monitoring and Reporting: Track the child's progress, communicating effectively with parents and other professionals involved in their care and education. * Promote Independence: Encourage the child's independence while ensuring they have the support they need to succeed. Ideal Candidate: * Experience in SEN: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred, particularly in a classroom setting. * Personal Care Experience: A willingness and ability to provide personal care (training will be provided if necessary). * Compassionate & Patient: A caring individual who can form positive relationships with children and help them thrive in their educational journey. * Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team, supporting both the child and the wider school staff. Requirements: * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one) * A passion for working with children with additional needs * Experience with personal care tasks is desirable, but not essential (training will be provided) How to Apply: Please get in touch if you are interested or would like any further details.
