We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school on a Full Time basis starting ASAP. The school is based in Cambridge and will involve providing support within a mainstream school setting. About the School: This is a three-form-entry, local authority community secondary school. The age range is from 11-16. The school has an on-site after-school provision, which is also the venue for the school’s Breakfast Club. Furthermore, they are fortunate enough to have our own catering staff. We value our staff and place high importance on creating an inspirational and safe environment for our students to thrive. Job Overview: SEN Teaching Assistant Full Time Long Term (Perm for the right candidate) ASAP Start Requirements: Previous experience working with SEN children. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting children's learning and well-being. Strong understanding of various special needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, are preferred but optional.
