SEN Teaching Assistant: Smile Education is collaborating with a vibrant secondary school near Sutton Coldfield to find a dedicated SEN TA to join their team, starting as of February 2025. If you’re passionate about supporting students and maintaining an engaging classroom environment, we encourage you to get in touch. This can be a full-time or part-time position! As a Secondary School SEN TA, your responsibilities will include maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment for students. You will facilitate the learning process and ensure students’ engagement in the absence of the regular teacher. Your adaptability to support diverse needs and abilities of students is critical. You will be working alongside a staff body who are fun, dedicated, hardworking, and professional, who will work together to support you in reaching your potential. The successful candidate must have: A bachelor’s degree in education, a related field, or relevant experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with SEN children. A genuine passion for supporting students and motivating them to excel. Tasks Required: Handing out pre-planned lessons from the class teacher. Ensuring a high level of classroom behaviour management. Supporting students who need additional help. Reporting any safeguarding allegations and ensuring a safe classroom environment.
