Do you have experience supporting young people with additional emotional and learning needs? SEN could include ADHD, ASD and other learning issues? Are you able to be patient, compassionate and offer different approaches to learning?
Your local mainstream Primary school needs a SEN TA - Wantage (Teaching Assistant) (1:1) to join their friendly team full-time from Monday to Friday starting this September. The role will involve working under the guidance of the class teacher, and supporting the pupils academically and emotionally, to help improve their independence and life skills.
The children are dealing with a range of emotional and physical disabilities, ranging and not limited to degrees of ASD, muteness, Autism, Dyslexia and motor issues
The SEN TA - Wantage role:
- Full time basis, 8:30am - 3:30pm daily (Term time only).
- ASD/Autism experienced (Level 2 qualification preferable)
- Level 2 Teaching assistant qualification
- 1:1 sessions to enable the KS1/KS2 students to access the mainstream curriculum.
- ASAP start
- £83.33 - £90 daily pay
Successful SEN TA - Wantage candidates will be able to adapt tasks from the lesson plan, implementing the KS2 curriculum. Techniques such as "Now and Next" boards, flash cards and alternative out of the classroom tools are encouraged to be used.
