Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on SEN and challenging behaviours. A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them manage their emotions and develop positive behaviour strategies. Work closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support classroom management strategies. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and reporting on behavioural and academic developments. Assist with creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
