We are working with a warm, welcoming, and vibrant primary school in Cheshunt, London, known for its commitment to providing a nurturing environment for all students. The school caters to children from diverse backgrounds and is particularly proud of its inclusive ethos, supporting a wide range of student needs. With modern facilities, including dedicated spaces for outdoor learning and sensory activities, the school is well-equipped to offer a positive learning environment for students with special educational needs. The school's staff are supportive, and teamwork is at the heart of the school's culture, ensuring both staff and students are well cared for. About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in supporting students with challenging behaviours. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for someone who is patient, resilient, and eager to make a real difference in the lives of children who need extra support to succeed in their learning. You will work closely with both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing tailored support to those who present challenging behaviours due to a variety of social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs. Your role will involve assisting in the classroom, working one-to-one with students, and supporting small group interventions to help students engage with the curriculum in a meaningful and supportive way. You'll collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other specialists to implement personalised learning plans and behaviour management strategies. Application Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on SEN or challenging behaviours. A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those with SEMH needs. Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas and taking direction. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential). Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the learning and development of students with challenging behaviours in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs). Assisting the class teacher in managing the classroom and creating a safe, structured environment. Working one-to-one or with small groups of children to provide tailored interventions. Helping students develop positive relationships with their peers and build their social skills. Perks and Benefits:

In return for your dedication, the school offers a friendly and inclusive environment where you will feel valued and supported. You will have access to ongoing professional development and CPD opportunities, giving you the chance to enhance your skills. The school's excellent facilities, including sensory rooms and outdoor learning areas, create a wonderful space to make a real impact in your role. You'll also benefit from the support of a strong SEN team, opportunities for career growth, and the reward of helping students thrive in a positive and encouraging setting. Do you feel you meet the criteria for this exciting opportunity? If so, please either apply below or contact Teach-Now directly. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. If you are not contacted within 2 working days, unfortunately, you have been unsuccessful for this role. However, we will keep your CV and continue to help you in your search for a job within education. Good luck with your application, we look forward to hearing from you.
