About the Role: Are you a compassionate and proactive individual passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the York area. Due to the nature of this role, you must have access to your own vehicle and be willing to travel to various locations within the city. This rewarding role involves working with children who may have autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN. Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs). Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils. Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to tailor learning strategies. Travel to different school locations within York as required.

Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential). A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with children. Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one. Right to work in the UK.
