The Role: As an SEN Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored education to secondary-aged students with special needs. You will be responsible for creating an engaging, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, adapting your approach to meet the unique learning needs of each student. This role requires a teacher who is passionate, proactive, and able to motivate students to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan, teach, and assess engaging lessons for your class, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to achieve their learning goals. Monitor and record students' progress, both academically and against their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes. Provide individual or small group support, offering personalized guidance to help students overcome challenges. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants to ensure effective support for students and create a positive learning environment. Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to stay engaged, motivated, and confident in their learning. Key Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Essential. A Good Honours Degree. Strong IT skills and the ability to incorporate technology into lessons. Excellent communication and numeracy skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. A deep understanding of creating a safe and engaging learning environment. Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs. Desirable Skills and Experience: A commitment to inclusive education and experience working with neurodiverse students. Experience creating individualized learning plans and supporting students with a wide range of needs. A flexible, empathetic approach to teaching with a focus on student well-being and academic success. Why Join Us?
