Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced, qualified teacher of SEND to teach learners with complex needs and challenging behaviours. PAst experience of teaching in an SEND, complex needs setting is essential.

The post in the organistaions college which caters for young adults aged 19-25 years, with complex needs. You will need to be able to foster strong relationships with the students and have a passion for supporting those with special needs.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience of teaching pupils with SEN and specifically those with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • QTS and PGCE
  • Experience Makaton or similar teaching methods
  • Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs

The role will consist of:

  • Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs
  • Personal care
  • Creating a safe environment
  • Managing and diffusing challenging behaviour

Position Details

  • LOCATION - Cheadle, Hulme (SK8)
  • POSITION - Special Needs Teacher
  • CONTRACT TYPE - Temporary (9months possilby extending to 12 months)
  • MINIMUM DAILY RATE - £97
  • HOURS - Full time Monday - Friday 8am-4pm term-time only, part-time of no less than 4 days may be considered.
  • START DATE - A28/10/2024
