Job Title: SEN Teacher 

Location: Papworth Hall School, Papworth Everard

Salary: Up to £42,200.00 per annum dependant on experience/qualifications

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team at Papworth Hall School, part of Options Autism.

About the role

You will be a passionate teacher and a great communicator, as comfortable talking to pupils as you are with contributing to the school’s vision and direction.

Our schools are unique environments, each one having its own special atmosphere and range of opportunities and resources. Our Teachers enjoy becoming part of their school’s ‘family’, exploring the potential of the building and environment and getting to know the brilliant pupils in our care.

You will enjoy building these caring relationships as well as liaising with fellow professionals, whether they are colleagues in the same school or they work in the pupil's previous educational establishments.

You will have excellent written English skills too, along with a passion for working in collaboration with other members of our multidisciplinary team, sharing information in both formal and informal situations.


  • To ensure a capable learning environment where pupils thrive, have their needs met and have access to positive interactions and to secure high quality teaching through effective use of resources and planning.


  • To organise personalised learning activities and experiences which are differentiated to meet the individual needs and levels of achievement of each pupil.


  • To be responsible for planning, tracking, evaluating, assessing and reporting the teaching and learning of pupils.


  • Writing and updating Individual Outcomes


  • To supervise, develop and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities.


  • To liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate.

Papworth Hall School is located in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge. Our new specialist school caters for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for c30 students. 

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
